Description
Built 1701, abandoned 1715 after being burnt. Substantial shell of former mansion house. T- Pla; 2 storeys, formerly with attic. Harled; door and window dressings mostly removed, leaving ragged openings. Forecourt to north bounded at west by house and outbuilding, and at east by (part) contemporary rubble built wall, latter having blocked openings. Main door near east of forecourt elevation below armorial panel;4 other openings to each level. Steep gables, including off- centre partions. Interior gutted; some fireplaces; door to rear wing with moulded jamb.
Clanranald seat moved to Nunton in Benbecula following fire.
