Description

Evaluation of beach deposits ahead of coastal defense works. Nothing of archaeological significance was found. Beach stratigraphy comprised of sand over peat, that overlies angular cobbles interpreted as glacial deposit. Potentail for palaeoenvironmental remains from peat deposits. Peat is likely the eastern edge of the larger deposit identified in the next bay at Calligeo (MWE149846).
