NA91SE 4 centred on 989 120

A township comprising four unroofed buildings, one of which is a complex building with three wings, two enclosures, a burial ground and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Harris 1881, sheet v). Ten roofed, eight unroofed buildings, two enclosures and two lengths of head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

Pre crofting settlement of eight buildings depicted on the 'Map of Harris by William Bald (1804 - 5). Site visit confirms significant upstanding archaeological remains of settlement and burial ground, this site has the potential to be late medieval in origin.
