A township comprising twenty-eight roofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a School, one partially roofed building, nine unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and seven enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, Harris, North Uist etc 1880, sheet xxvi). Forty-seven roofed, three partially roofed, six unroofed buildings and several enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
