A crofting township comprising forty-one roofed buildings, one of which is an L-shaped building, one partially roofed building and ten unroofed buildings, and the fragmentary remains of a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, South Uist 1882, sheet xlviii). Twenty-five roofed, two partially roofed and twenty-seven unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
