What may be a farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1851, sheet 21). One enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).

Current AP's show a roughly 'D' shaped enclosure with a blackhouse type ruined structure in an off centre position. Annotated as Tota Bhreac on the 6" OS map sheet.
