Two enclosures are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Isle of Lewis Ross-shire 1853, sheet 4), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 9 January 1997.

SABS 52: Carn Ban enclosures NB 37520 54510

These two enclosures are recorded on the 1st edition map (1853). The walls are just visible as low grassy banks up to 0.3m high and 2m wide. The east side is difficult to determine on the ground due to works associated with the sewage pipe and recent sewage tank in this area. However, it can be clearly seen in the recent OS aerial photgrphas of this area held in the SMR.
