Full Description

E 351:
This cultivation complex is situated on the furthest north-easterly tip of land on the Island of Eriskay. This small peninsula is nearly completely covered with cultivation marks, running in different directions. This complex measures approximately 110 x 70 metres. The area is now used to graze sheep, so the vegetation is short grass.
Interpretation: This area was probably used by several families at the same time. Another possibility is, that this cultivation area was used by many generations, thus one generation only farming one or two fields at a time. It would need a more detailed survey to answer that question.
