Full Description

E 403:
This enclosure is situated on a faint slope 20 metres south of the blackhouse E 401 and lower than the blackhouse. It measures 25 x 33.5 metres and the walls stand just 60 - 70 cm high and are nearly completely turfed over, although some stones of the wall are still visible. The surrounding vegetation in long grass.
Interpretation: This enclosure was probably used by the inhabitants of blackhouse E 401 for stock management or other unknown purposes.
