Full Description

E 425:
The enclosure is directly built onto a steep cliff, so that the northern long wall is formed by the cliff. The dimensions of this enclosure are 12 x 5 metres, it is orientated from west to east, the walls are up to 1 metre high, but completely turfed over. Some stones are still visible at the base of the wall from the inside of the enclosure. No entrance is visible. The enclosure is situated in a small valley, running east south-east down to the sea, between quite steep cliffsand north of a small stream which runs down to the sea as well. The distance to the sea is 50 - 60 metres.
Interpretation: The purpose of this enclosure is uncertain. It could have been built as a shelter for man and animals or for boats and fishing equipment, as the way to the sea is quite short. The enclosure is far away from any settlement.
