A head-dyke, which runs roughly W-E from NB 546 613 to NB 555 615 with a second length running S-N from NB 552 613 to NB 551 618, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 3). It is adjoined to the head-dyke of the crofting township of Sgiogarstagh to the W (NB56SW 61). Only a short length of the W end of the head-dyke is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
