A township, which forms the northern focus of Dalmore, comprising two roofed buildings, one of which is annotated 'Smithy', three partially roofed buildings are annotated as 'Ruin', one enclosure and a field-system, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 12). To the E is what may be two phases of head-dyke.
Three unroofed structures which may be buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

The centre of this settlement was demolished during croft 'improvement' works in February 2019. No archaeological recording took place. The surviving structures are the out-lieing buildings to the north and south (located on different crofts). A saddle quern was identified in the rubble during this work and is now in the care of MnE and has been reported to Treasure Trove Scotland.
