9 March 1898. BOYS DELIGHT, new, not reg., wood lugsail, 3 ton, 6 men. Master D. Finlayson, Owner M. MacFarlane, Stornoway. Air of Tong, Lewis to fishing. Ballast. Capsized. 6 dead. Wind WSW squally. The Minch.

(Registration number cited as SY 1182 and classified as lugger: date of loss cited as 9 March 1898). This vessel capsized in Broad Bay, and was carried out to sea.

The map sheet assigned to this loss is essentially arbitrary. Air of Tong is presumably to be identified with Aird Thunga, but the fate of the remains of the vessel is not recorded.
