Full Description
Ruins of a blackhouse type dwelling. Rectangular main building with attached building to NE, giving a roughly 'L'shaped plan. Possible low gables to north and south on main building with single entrance at the SE corner of eastern elevation. Wall width is suprisingly thick 2m. One internal wall is visible adjacent to the entrance to secondary building.
Secondary building has a single internal entrance to SW corner.
Small stone feature visible around the entrance to main building with larger enclosure leading off the SE corner of main building and curving around westward, terminating at the eastern bay.
Drystone wall / jetty located to SW, extending into the tidal zone. Ruins in stable condition.
Dwelling is visible on 1st ed 6" OS map sheet 1853, depicted as 'L' plan, enclosure has slightly different arrangement and is smaller.
