Following on from a watchining brief associated with Scottish Water mains renewal works, detailed stratigraphy was recorded in this area, suggesting occupation layers, midden deposits, insitu burning & peat ash and possible occaisional structural remains. A turf bank was also noted (Coll Bank)at the surface level; likely a later (undated) boundary feature. Proposed post-ex anaylsis will give these layers better chronological definition.
