Full Description

A stoney mound, located less than 5 m from the south coast of the Rubha Bhuailt peninsula. The mound is 2.9 m x 0.75m across, and 0.40 m high. It contains at least one block of worked stone measuring 0.75 m x 0.25 m x 0.30 m. Two further stone blocks were located 2.5 m to the south of the mound, and ay also have been worked. The mound was heavily overgrown, and therefore the nature of this site could not be determined. The mound possibly represents the remains of a small stone built structure, perhaps used for storage and associated with the disused quay (LBD09/103).
Uist Archaeology 09/2011

The 6" 1st ed OS map depicts two attached buildings at this location. A stoney mound was identified by the Uist Archaeology survey in 2009; noting that dressed stones were visible. The 2011 survey identified two walls creating an 'L' shape.
