Full Description

Current AP's show blackhouse type ruin with associated structures within the tidal zone, extensive lazy beds to north, west and south. Depicted on the 6" 1st ed Ordnance Survey sheet (1854) as rectangular house with attached byre and two boundary dyke enclosures. The Chapman/ Gibbs map depicts two separate houses and several enclosed areas. The area is annotated 'Taytra'.
