Barvas Manse depicted in the 6"1st ed Ordnance Survey map sheet (1850) with 'L' shaped buildings to south & rectangular enclouse with two attached buildings to north. A second group of buildings to the southeast comprise of three buildings incorparated into a square enclosure. The manse is also depicted on the Chapman/ Gibbs map 1807. Current AP's indicate much of the site has been demolished to make way for a modern barn; however the ruins of the manse & some enclosures may still be extant.
