Full Description

The 6"1st ed Ordnance Survey map sheet (1850) depicts a number of ruins around the Barvas School House site; current AP's clearly show that these ruins are extant. It would appear that this settlement (possibly one of the 1st in the area) was cleared and that the ruins were potentially used to build the school, church & manse complex.
