Full Description

Balds map depictes a rectangular burial ground and a cluster of buildings on the west side of the burn. The 6" 1st ed Ordnance Survey sheet (1878) depicts a 'D' shaped enclosure with an unroofed structure in the northern corner, adjacent to the road & annotated 'Burial Ground'. The contrast between the two maps may indicate that the burial ground was truncated by the later road.
