Full Description
Following the discovery of human bone during ploughing, the area was surveyed and a single human burial was excavated (May 2007). The burial comprised of a extended adult skeleton lieing on its back, although it had been previously disturbed and elemnt were missing. No grave goods were present and two upright stones at the grave edge suggested possible further stone settings had orginally marked the grave. C14 dating gave an Early Iron Age date of 390 - 200BC.
