Eight roofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1851, sheet 27). Four unroofed buildings whcih may be shieling-huts are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

Current AP's show some sheiling structures are visible, with possible other sites located east & west along the ridge. This sheiling group is interesting as it is depicted on the Chapman/Gibbs map (1807-09) and is annotated ' Arrie-dahe vile', (two mile sheilings).
