Full Description
NB43NW 4 4132 3565.
NB 4132 3565. Four standing stones, each about 1.0m high, at this spot, represent the remains of a stone circle approximately 50 yards in diameter.
Information contained in letter from M and G Ponting to Dr J Close-Brooks (NMAS) 20 February 1979.
This is a stone alignment. There seems to be some historical confusion with this site and the feature at Priests Glen (SMR341 stone circle). At this location there are at least 10 stones in a linear arrangement aligned east / west, 4 of which are above the grass and are clearly visible.
Site visited 17/08/2016. K.Murphy (Archaeologist CnES)
G Ponting, 1981b, Discovery and Excavation, Scotland, 51 (Bibliographic reference). SWE14577.
