Full Description
NB53SW 12 540 338.
During peat cutting a fibre mat was found, c25cm square with attached pieces of cord. Its function is unclear, but the fibres have been identified as cow hair, horse hair and wool. It has been C14 dated to 1300-840 cal BC.
After a Treasure Trove enquiry it was lodged in NMS registration number IP 5.
