Description

All excavations took place within a machair environment with deep deposits of wind blown sand. The northern most trench revealed significant archaeological features and artifacts. Initial evidence would suggest a Late Bronze Age date. Additional trenches to the south were archaeologiaclly sterile. The results of this work allowed for a redesign of the proposed project. Post-ex analysis is currently on going.
